Interdisciplinary performance. With Stahl & Sommer, Pia Matthes

Strahl & Sommer is the Lucerne saxophonist Silke Strahl and the Aarau clarinettist Kevin Sommer. Together with Lucerne artist Pia Matthes, they performed during a one-week residency at the Red House in Lucerne, an architectural contemporary witness of Lucerne’s industry. Designed in 1929 as a water gas splitting plant, the building has been empty for several years. In this cross-disciplinary project, freely improvised, experimental music meets sound and light installations meets found objects meets performance. And all this in an extraordinary space.
